Description
We got a small assortment of gouges that we make out of a rougher material with brass ring reinforcements on the handle. These Beating gouges are a lot tougher compared to our other gouges, and they can take beatings from a wooden mallet.
We make one straight beating gouge and one bent.
The bevel shape is expressed in a diameter (mm) and an approximate width (mm). The bevel shape is part of a full circle. The number that the gouge is marked with is the diameter of this circle. The width is measured across the gouge.
New tool: Shrink pot gouge
This is a gouge specifically developed to make shrink pots. See the last picture, the gouge without a handle. Best suited for internal work of your shrink pot. It is about 28 cm long and is preferably used together with a leather mallet or similiar. The bevel width is about 28 mm.
