Some tips when putting a handle in the splitting iron:
The handle should be approximately the same length as the length of the blade, or slightly longer. The eye is conical (wider at the bottom). In order to fasten your handle really well in our splitting irons you can make a wedge cross and insert many wedges, along with glue. You can also use a bolt and washer together with the wedges. It is really important that the handle is fastened properly in order for you to split and bend with the tool, without having to deal with any unforeseen happenings.
See example picture for how the Splitting iron mini can be seen with a handle.
