Hi there fellow carver!

A new year is upon us and we have got some news on our website. Among other things, a new tool: Kolrosing knife. It is a nice tool if you want to make your works a bit more creative or if you want to learn a new skill.

Our Carving hooks have got some new and improved looks. The inside of the tool is now forged hollow, like our Spoon knife hollow.

The price lists for 2025 are updated with this year’s prices, which can be seen under each product or over at Product info where you can download the full product list as a pdf.

Hello there! From the 21st of December to the 9th of January we will take a Christmas break from forging tools, infact the whole workshop will take a break. The webshop is still going strong this time and will stay open. Feel free to place your order. But the office is also on Christmas break, so we will start sending tools and invoices the 10th of January.

And please remember: Christmas time is carving time.

Summer is here and it is once again time for us to take a well deserved break in the workshop. The webshop will be kept open so our customers can place orders – but we will not be making and shipping hand forged tools until the middle of August.

We have had a lot going on the last few weeks, and our summer worker Ture has really been a good help. We had an amazing visit from our friends Mmaurice and Izzy at Woodsmith UK. We have also made lots of tools and handles, and Elsa has also done some incredible work from the office.

Our Jupiter air hammer has received lots of love from Tommy Hansson and Åke Mickelsson, and we are very thankful.

We have had an exciting year where we have kept developing our work (believe it or not, after over 30 years!). For example, we have started to use a more environmentally friendly method when forging small tools, using an induction heater. We have also developed some new tools which has been a success. Stay tuned, maybe more new tools are coming?

It is now summertime once again and that means we need to let the workshop cool down a bit (as much as possible in the summer heat) and take some well needed rest.

The workshop is closed from 22 of June until we open again the 14 of August. This also means that the webshop will be closed during this time.

We wish you all a happy summer!

We want to thank all our lovely customers for this year. It has been a year with ups and downs, with both an unstable world situation and some hand injuries in the workshop during autumn. But nevertheless we have had the pleasure of making many of tool for you guys out there and we really hope that it has brought you plenty of joy.

A well-needed break is now in place, and we wish you all a merry christmas and a happy new year with lots of carving!

Thanks once again to all our customers for an amazing spring, now we will take our summer break. The possibility to order via djarv.se will be closed from 20th of June to 11th of August.

We are very thankful to all of you that keep using our tools year after year. The work with making tools has gone pretty good, despite that the situation in the world right now gives us lots of troubles with material shortage, transport issues and higher prices.

Our motivation has been high in the workshop and we have developed a range of new tools, with some versions of existing assortment. After summer, the webshop will be updated with all the info, stay tuned.

We will now take a well needed summer break, focus on rest and creativity, and coming back to autumn filled with energy.

The possibility to order tools on our website will also take a break (you will still be able to scroll around and read about our tools, but it will not be possible to place orders). We will open up again for orders the 11th of August.

We have had an exciting 2021 with many irons in the fire. Everyting from renovating power hammers and remodeling of our workshop, to making lots of tools that we hope will spread lots of joy with you. The release of our new website became a success, where the work between us and our customers have been much more smooth than before. We hope you appreciate it as much as we do.

We will take a well-needed break over christmas and new years. It will cause delay for orders and emails. Hope you will be forgiving about that and enjoy the winter as well.

Today we have smith some new Carving axes. You can find some ex of both Carving axe 0,6 kg and Carving axe 0,75 kg in stock
Even Carving axe 0,4 kg and Cutting axe 0,7 kg are in stock. Welcome!

A lot of new gouges and chisel have been made in the smithy this week. Not all of them were ordered so some of them are now in stock on the website. 3 models of bent gouges, some straight and two width of the straight chisel. Also the spoon knife large with long handle is in stock again.

THANK YOU to all of you that likes our tools! We have been working hard during 2020 and during spring 2021 with making tools and at the same time building and expanding our workshop. Svante has a lot more space for forging, Elsa and the rest of the operation has also got more space and freedom. This creates happiness in the workplace!

The old website was online for over 20 years. We did a thorough job with making a new website and managed to launch it 4 months ago, and it has been a success. It really makes things easier for both you and for us.

We want to keep making tools and develop our work along with you. Therefore we first need to take a break during summer, to rest our minds and bodies in order to enter the autumn with full power.
